Cooma School for Early Learning prides itself on delivering quality programs for the children in our care, based on current best practices for Early Childhood. With this in mind, our philosophy is based on an Emergent Curriculum and inspired by the teaching in the School of Reggio Emilia, Northern Italy. Cooma School for Early Learning also implements Australia’s national Early Years Learning Framework, “Belonging, Being and Becoming”.
Cooma School for Early Learning prides itself on aesthetic environments for young children. The rooms have been thoughtfully set up, designed to encourage creativity and exploration, as well as reflect a warm, home like feeling.
As you enter each room you will notice pieces of furniture typical in a home settling as well as natural materials. The layout also encourages learning through play in small groups. This is supported by research, which shows that young children learn a great deal through play.
Cooma School for Early Learning encourages families to have an active role in the centre and to work closely with staff to form a strong partnership, one that supports and guides children's development and learning during their early years.
